Future of PH on OVMS

What future versions would these be?  Unreleased, undeveloped, unannounced
versions? 

Cognos sales reps and employees' postings to this list have indicated that
8.x is where Cognos is headed.  There is info at the Cognos website on the
release schedule for 8.0 (Phase 1) and 8.1 (Phase 2), see
http://www.cognos.com/powerhouse/ph.html.  What's the release plan for
future versions of 7.10 on OVMS, Phase out?   When was the last time Cognos
retrofitted major new features in version N.x to version (N-1).x?

The problem/issue is bigger than just POW.  PH Server and PH Web are tied
to PH 8.1.  How will an OVMS customer who uses mailboxes or other OVMS
features use these products?
