BUILD a newfile that is a KSAM file (HELP BUILD for details), then FCOPY
FROM=oldfile;TO=newfile, this will populate the KSAM file with your library
and away you go. You can build the file as an NM KSAM file is you wish and
not have to deal with the key file.

Subject: COBEDIT and Library files (was KSAM <--> ASCII)
Hi again everyone,
Firstly I want to apologise for these posts, as I know they are not
Powerhouse related, BUT I do not know of a discussion forum for COBOL/Mpe.
I apologise deeply for any inconvinience.
Now that I know how to build a KSAM file, can any kind soul direct me to
the format of a COBOL Library file? Aparantly our library file was stripped
off its KSAM format and is a standard ASCII file, hence COBEDIT will not
recognise it. Is there anyway I can change an ASCII file to KSAM so I can
use COBEDIT on it?
Cheers
