I've got no problem writing PDL but it plain and simple just takes longer.  
Architect licenses would probably fall off dramatically if Cognos bundled
POW 
into series 8.  There was never really a great need for Architect in VMS 
because POW was there.  I guess it just comes to down to money.  Thats the 
only thing I can tell because POW is a great timesaver and indicative of a
4GL 
feature.
