Axiant 2.03 and SQL7

Has anyone else experienced a problem with getting Axiant 2.03 
installed and running with MS-SQL7?  I am trying to demo this product 
to a client and after installing it on three different NT4SP4  
machines I am unable to get the the product to build a simple screen. 
 Apparently it dies in qdesign32.dll somewhere.

There is an open service call on this but if any of you have an 
experience similar to this then I would appreciate hearing from you.
