		John

To respond to your questions, comments and rant in order:

1.	I'm going (and presenting a non-BI paper)
2.	PowerHouse Web is NOTHING like Axiant! It's the same good ol'
PowerHouse with some new syntax for the WWW and some additional non-PH
components to support the HTTP access. It isn't a GUI version of PH.
3.	As I have never been to a Cognos User conference (in fact I've been
to ANY computer related conference in this country or other) I hope to learn
a lot. Besides, the networking with other PH users is really the main
benefit in my opinion.
4.	I would think Orlando during school time would be better so as to
avoid the school age crowds.

Is anyone who is primarily a PowerHouse
person and not particularly
concerned with the BI stuff considering
going to the Enterprise 99
conference in Orlando this year? It appears
to me that there is even less
PowerHouse agenda at this conference than at
the last one in Atlanta, which
				had regrettably slim content.

Other than some new features (Web, yet
another Axiant) presentations there
seems little else. And the Cognos booth at
HP World Aug 15-20 would make a
great dress rehearsal for these. Would I
actually learn *anything* new at
				Enterprise 99?

				/personal rant
And it seems even more expensive - early
bird rate $850 + about $500 minimum
				for hotel (3 nights, $159 + taxes) +
airfare. And that's in US dollars.
Multiply that by about 1.68 to get to the
currency of the country in which
the head office of Cognos resides. And don't
get me started on going to
Orlando in the first week of school!
				/rant off

I've been to them all so far but I think
I'll give this one a miss :-(
