Axiant, NT, Printing

Hi

I don't believe Axiant has it's own list, so here goes....

For printing to specific printers within NT, see Knowledge Base document
KB65157CS on the Cognos Supported Customers Website (it's actually a
Powerhouse doc, so you may have missed it).

Essentially you need to do :

SET REPORT DEVICE PRINTER "\\<server_name>\<printer_name>"

This should work for Axiant as well.

With regards to embedding escape sequences, I seem to remember that you may
need to print to a file first and then print that in order to get them to
work correctly (could be wrong though).

Does Axiant have a separate list or is it included in this one?
Based on the little we know so far, when we print a report using SET DEVICE
PRINTER, the report prints to whatever default printer is set up on the PC
executing the report.  To use different printers on the network, should we
first make a printfile then use a screen to select a printer from a list of
those available?
How about switching from portrait to landscape?  Should we use escape
sequences?
