DETAIL DELETE Procedure

Newer versions of PowerHouse are pickier with the syntax. The DETAIL DELETE
procedure is only executed for DETAIL files when you use the D command and
reference an ID corresponding to a DETAIL file occurrence. Older versions of
PowerHouse operated the same way, but were not as picky about allowing you
to have a DETAIL DELETE without a DETAIL file. The DETAIL POSTFIND will be
the same way, I believe.

I am helping a client with a Y2K project and came across an old screen with
a secondary file but no detail files  and a detail delete procedure
referencing a designer file.  With the new version of Powerhouse this screen
will not compile because it gives an error on the DETAIL DELETE procedure
with no detail file.

My question is, in previous versions did the detail delete procedure get
executed without there being a detail file?  Or was this code just ignored
and never executed?  I need to try to maintain the functioning of the screen
and therefore the answer is critical.  

This is on a VAX/VMS platform.  Previous Powerhouse version is 6.10 and we
are upgrading to 7.10G1
