Sorry about that, it's been a while since I looked at the list. Try the
<CTRL>P, it does what you want.

You didn't indicate what platform you are on. The VMS manuals are very
helpful with documenting what you can do with editing text in a large
scrollable field. Under MPE\ix; Good Luck.
We tested almost all key strokes on the HP3000 using Reflection and MS92
from Minisoft and came up with the following table of text editing commands.
Didn't come across a new paragraph command. Please let me know if you find
out what it is.
Hope the following list will be of some help.
<Ctrl>B Recall Text
Arrows To move around in text
<Insert> Insert character
Page Up Scroll through text
Page Up Scroll through text
<Ctrl>X Delete to start of line, or <Ctrl>U
<Ctrl>C Move to end of text,
(or <Ctrl>V,L,O,Z,Q[Minisoft])
<Ctrl>D Move to left one character
<Ctrl>F Move to right one character
<Ctrl>E Move to end of line
<Ctrl>T Move to start of line
<Ctrl>P Move text to new line
<Ctrl>N Delete to end of line
<Ctrl>J Delete word
<Ctrl>H Delete one charater to left
Delete Delete one chatacter to right
<Ctrl>M Exit from editing

Subject: New Paragraph in multi-line field?
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to figure out how to signal Quick to put in a line break in a
multi-line scrolling field. We're using PH819c4 on an HP3000 with an
Image dataset that has a 600 byte field that is defined in Quick as
field INCIDENT-TEXT for 10,60
It works well for straight text, but sometimes the user will need to
'format' the text in the field by putting in a line break. For example:
Step 1. This is a line of text.
Step 2. This is another line.
I consulted the PowerHouse rules book, and it seems to indicate (in the
section titled 'Text Edit Commands' on page 248) that a New Paragraph
command can be used. But, it doesn't indicate what the user types to
accomplish this.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks!
