multiple qtp updates from the same subfile

It looks like you are getting the error before the ACCESS statement - which
is really odd, you haven't even told it what file you want yet, so why would
it be complaining?  I think that by that point QTP's out to lunch, the
question is why has it lost it.  I'd try to put some listeq's etc, in the
UDC and/or the batch job to see if something's changing between QTP
executions.
