Cognos Application Development Tools Update

Funny you should ask about that :-)

The new one-day training course, Developing Applications for
PowerHouse Web,  is intended to help experienced PowerHouse
developers understand the similarities and differences between
developing PowerHouse applications for the traditional terminal
environment and the new Web environment.

This course is currently under development, and should be
available in our education centers from late September or early
October. There is a chance to get on it a little earlier, as it
will be taught on the first day of the post-conference training
at our up-coming user conference in Orlando. The details for this

This course may also be one of the first Cognos courses that also
becomes available via the Web (or at least Web-based technology).
Our Education Development group have identified some promising
technologies that will enable us to deliver our course materials
over the Web. Once the public course has been completed and
released to be taught in our education centers this group will
go on to investigate "porting" it to the Web. I don't have any
estimated delivery dates yet for when this might become
available, but I'll keep you all posted.

Does anyone know if there is any plan for Cognos to have any type of
web-classes or "distance learning" classes/seminars, or if they have
any plans for interactive-learning CD's for things like PHWeb?
