Dear PowerHouse people,

A couple of people have emailed me asking how to subscribe to the Rdb list
server. Details are in the attached message. I would strongly recommend this
list to anyone involved with Rdb.

Regards,

This is an automated message that is sent out once a month
to the OracleRdb mailing list.

It is the intent of the message to provide instructions on
the use of the mailing list software as well as how to join
and remove yourself from the list.

-----------------------------------------------------------
First, some mailing list etiquette:

When replying to a message, most e-mail tools include the entire
text of the message to which you are replying. This can make
an excessively large message by the time it is the second or third
reply. Please remove all of the text that is irrelevant to your
reply.

Removing the irrelevant lines will also allow a number of people
on the mailing list to actually receive these messages. For those
who are using the UCX SMTP mailsystem, messages that contain too
many "hop" headers (machine A.com passed the message to machine B.com)
will bounce the message. Unfortunately, the UCX SMTP mailer does not
differentiate between the "hop" headers from the original, included
message and the "hop" headers that are part of the actual reply.
Trimming the messages will help everyone on the list to actually receive
these messages.

This will save everyone time (and a little bandwidth.)

Thank You for your cooperation.
