SETSYSTEMVAL - solved

Yup - you were right John (still no relation).

I just changed it to SELECT IF SETSYSTEMVAL("MY-SYMBOL","SET IN QTP") and
it works fine.

Since you're on a roll......

I reported this to Cognos last week, but have not heard back. It appears
that if you have a logical set for your QKGO file, but invoke QUICK
AUTO=programname, it does not pickup any parameters from the QKGO file.

Normally we start QUICK by doing the following:

$ASSIGN WPS_PHD:WPS QKGO
$QUICK

In the QKGO file, the initial screen is WPS_EXE:WPSK000 so it brings that
screen up automatically. The QKGO also has other parameters changed such as
screen levels, TIC files, etc.

If you instead start QUICK by the following - leaving the QKGO assignment
intact:

$QUICK AUTO=WPS_EXE:WPSK000

The QKGO file is not used for the other parameters. According to what I
can find in the manual, it should still pick them up. I've worked around
the problem (by not using the AUTO parameter).

I think they closed the call out and did not report it as a "bug". Anyone
else have this problem on their version?
