I work with  Axiant since version 2.  The migration toolkit is nice to work 
with, it solves many issues , but especially with a migration from indexed 
to relational there are a lot of things you have to solve yourself. Think 
of things like substructures (Power2000 can be a very usefull , but 
expensive, tool to detect all these issues)

6 months ago I migrated an VMS(Alpha)  PH application with InterBase to 
Axiant. The database interface (IBASE vs IBSQL)  forced us  to make some 
changes to our programs.(date issues)  The screen design is one of those 
things that can be improved. It looks like a Windows applications, but it's 
not real Windows. Because of missing options things like snap to grid (It 
disappeared from the product a while ago, but Cognos promissed to put it 
back in version 2.1) makes screen design very time consuming.

Also options like "click events" will make things a lot easier.  Cognos 
promissed a lot of Screen Layout option in version 2.1 That's why we dec  
ided to start with other projects first and wait for Axiant 2.1
