QKGO file name length?

Oh wise ones...
I am working on converting QKGO files from 5.06/5.09 to 8.19.c2. For some
reason, 8.19.c2 will not let me generate QKGO file names with a length of
eight characters! I can get around this but it involves truncating the
last character, making sure that no two files have the same name and change
all of my udcs.
Has anyone run into this problem or can provide information as to why this
was done? I would really appreciate.
Sincerely,
Jeff (I thought eight characters was a limitation) Keepers
