We connected to the internet at a previous employer of mine. We wrote a websocket in cobol on the HP3000 and used it to query TURBOIMAGE databases and them to return the data to the webserver in an html format. Visit www.metlife.co.za andhave a look at the membership information. We used it to allow our Medical Aid members to view their benefits on-line.
