Powerhouse Opportunity

Hi everyone,

Here is an opportunity for a short project in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in
February.

The work will involve upgrading Powerhouse/Kermit/Terminal Emulator based
programs that serve as an interface between a now Y2K compliant third party
VAX based application and various in-house PC based applications.

Some of the skills required include:
- knowledge of Order and Shipping applications
- several years experience with Powerhouse on DEC VAX/VMS
- experience converting Common Data Dictionary (CDD) record definition files
to Powerhouse PDL and then loading them into the Powerhouse Dictionary
- experience with the Kermit file transfer protocol, modems, and the ability
to read/update several small PC file transfer scripts
- knowledge and experience with Y2K related issues for Powerhouse (and
possibly VMS, Kermit and other software involved with the project)
- knowledge of Powerhouse record locking using RMS files
