Usage of PHDFM in batch

I couldn't find a reference to the syntax of PHDFM in the manuals. The PH
for OpenVMS PDL and Utilities Reference (v.7.10) has a mistake in it. On
page 33 under PHDFM Program Parameter Syntax Diagram it shows the syntax
diagram for PHDMAINTENANCE instead!
What are the options for PHDFM?

I think you're working too hard at this.
How about:
$PHDFM CREATE filename
By the way, you could do:
$PHDFM CREATE filename1 filename2 filename3 ...
