Hello,
Has anybody converted cisam files from an aviion to a dg intel mini
?
We use dictionaries with decimal character is "," . Our Powerhouse
versions are 733c4 on the aviion and 733e2 on the dg intel. In our cisam
files are float and date fields. To avoid data conversion errors with floats
we make a copy of our dictionary on the aviion with decimal character is "."
. Then we make portable subfiles with quiz. After ascii file transfer we
reload those portable subfiles with qtp and a dictionary on the dg intel (
also with decimal char is "." ) . Btw, both dictionaries have system options
date century included.
There are no errors. Reading the new filled cisam files with the
dictionary with decimal char is "." yields correct floats and correct date
fields. Then we take the 'real' dictionary with decimal char ",". The floats
are still readable , but the date fields give data conversion errors.
In all our (many) sources are input routines and values with comma's
. So we have to use decimal character is ",".
The knowledgebase does not reveal a solution to our problem.
If you have any advice on this matter please respond via the list or
by private e-mail.
TIA,
Kind regards,
