I do mass compiles, too. So far this has been the best solution for me.
This worked well in 5.09, 6.09, and 7.29 so I'm wondering what Cognos
changed that would make the mass compile cause problems. BTW, the first
two lines in every source file is CANCEL CLEAR followed by SET DEFAULT.
We're just finishing our first conversion to 8.19C1. I received 8.19C3
yesterday. I expect to install it next week and do a mass compile. We
usually do limited testing after a mass recompile and the amount of testing
is determined by the reason for the mass recompile.
