HP PH subfiles 644 vs 649?

[Colin Glass]

A 644 file is a subfile that includes a minidictionary.  A 649 file contains
an interim minidictionary created by a Quiz or QTP.  See the Knowledge Base

A colleague here wants to know what is the difference between (sub)file
code 644
and 649.  Apparently, the subfile gets a code 649 when built as a temp in a
QTP
compile.  Did something change in version 8?
