Migration from DEC RMS files to Oracle RDBMS

Does anyone have experience in this type of migration? I'm specifically
concerned about the difference in transaction models QUICK vs. RDBMS. Our code
has overridden the default procedures and has a lot of explicit GET / PUT. How
would this work in a relational transaction model? Is there something in the
RDBMS config that dictates the actual COMMIT?
