WinNT and PowerHouse Client 2.x memory leaks / Deadlock

Hello,

Our college utilizes WinNT4 as our Desktop environment.
We are aware that this powerhouse client was not designed for WinNT,
but do wonder if anyone has any ideas on how to fix these problems.
When we use powerhouse 2.x we encounter these problems.

Memory leaks appear to become real obvious when the standard screen
savers activate. Then, when the application is minimized and then
maximized the leaks can be megabytes at a time, especially when another
window is dragged across powerhouse client window. When the application is
exited we do not recover the memory. I have personally maxed out all
memory in 5 different machines with the same WinNT4. We also discovered a
deadlock issue too. When the parent powerhouse client window is opened
and child powerhouse windows are opened during the course of usage, I can
make the application totally deadlock 100 % of the time. To do this resize
a child window so that the scroll bars appear simultaneously on the right
border and the bottom border. This takes a little patients but it is easy
to see how it can happen during normal use. When this deadlock happens -
the cursor never returns to normal, you can't move the malformed cursor
out of the parent powerhouse client window, memory leakage occurs at a
constant rate until the machine crashes, CPU usage is maxed out until
memory problem crashes the machine.

We had invoked powerhouse client in it's own memory space and used task
manager to monitor memory changes.

If this is not resolvable, we may have to move back to character based
access for our database applications.

Any suggestions are welcome, in the mean time, we are contemplating
removing this application totally.

Kind Regards
