Logonid query

The behavior you describe is what I remember seeing with an
early release of PowerHouse 4GL 8.11C on Windows NT, where the
netd process on the NT Server was spawning the remote QKSRV
process to handle the user session under the Windows username
that had started it (the netd)...rather than the username/
password combination obtained from the remote logon dialog.
Hence the LOGONID function (and any ASCs) were usually seeing
the user as being "Administrator", as that was usually the
username used to start netd as an NT Service.

I believe that this was fixed in a rolling RBF, and so should
certainly be in the 8.11C1 release that is currently available
via customer support.

As a matter of interest, are you using the native DB-LIB
interface to connect to your SQL Server 7.0 database, or are
you connecting via ODBC? E-mail me privately with a response
to this if you wish.

Best regards,

Subject: Logonid query

Morning All,

I'm creating a thin client application. MS SQL Server (7.0) on NT with
Axiant
(2.03) and Powerhouse (8.11) .
Logonid is used throughout the application to check security etc.
However no matter who I logon as, I always get the logonid of
"Administrator".
Any body know why?
