I've done a few migrations  MPE/ix & Image ---> HP-UX  & C-ISAM
                                          MPE/ix & Image ---> HP-UX & Oracle

Some of the biggest issues are of the operating specific variety i.e.:
- MPE File equates
- temporary  [sub]files
- embedded MPE commands (stream, purge, etc.)
- .... (the list goes on).

Of course there are source code / data issues that do pop up. For one, Oracle does
not accept "-" (dash) for column names. These would all have to be changed to "_"
(underscore), in both the database and source code, dictionary as well if you use
element definitions.

These are just a few examples.
All in all, the migrations weren't too bad.
