VMS - Running PH710G on differing versions of the operatingsyste m

As the developer of the product in question, I have looked into the matters
raised and have found the following.

> 7.10G has various problems, including failure of all multiline fields.
> 7.10G1 appears better, but Cognos won't tell me whether there are

As advised by Cognos you are correct in saying that there is a problem with
multilined fields. Because the product was originally written under a
version of Powerhouse that did not support multilined fields there are none
in our product. I have also made a through check of the source to confirm
this.

Again, you are correct in what you say, the currently distributed version of
the product was written under VMS 7.1 / Powerhouse 710F1 and is being run by
the user under VMS 6.2.

I have not included any 7.1 features that are not in earlier versions as we
have other users on older versions including 6.2.

In case any of our other customers receive this e-mail I would like to
assure them that I have looked into the known problems and don't see that
there will be any issues arising.
