Chris sometime ago you used to be able to get a listing of outstanding bugs
using POWERFACTS and I was disappointed when it went away for reasons you
have described with re-hashing what other COGNOS users had already
reported! I spoke with Emil Feador (COGNOS) about this and he provide me
with a way using the current COGNOS Website to get at the outstanding bug
list that are not fixed but have been verified as bugs. Unfortunately he
sent me the e-mail at my last client so I don't have the directions on how
this is done I just know that it is possible. Maybe Mark Stewart who is
still at that client and on this list has the directions otherwise Bob
Deskins may know of this way to extract what you are looking for (It was
not real apparent). The web site is not very user friendly in extracting
information that WE COGNOS users need (especially with MAJOR releases). I
have myself extracted this information so I know it is possible. Hope this
helps.
My last client was on the VAX and we stopped at release 7.10.F4 with plans
to upgrade to 7.10.G next year after all of the KINKS had been worked out!
Regards Steve in Columbus Ohio.
