Specialty printing in Quiz

I have been using Quiz on HP-3000 to print a receipt form with two
different barcodes (code39 and PostNet) and a signature on a LaserJet IIIsi
printer. The barcodes and signature reside in two plug-in cartridges in
the IIIsi. Unfortunately, output volume has grown and the IIIsi is just
barely keeping up with the output so I'm looking at moving the output to
another printer. The problem is the two plug-in cartridges.
The newer LaserJet printers do not have plug-in cartridges and buying
another IIIsi is not an available option <grin>. I've looked into getting
the barcode fonts as soft fonts on the HP-3000 and downloading them to the
LaserJet although that turned out to be a dead end. I've also looked at
using a flashSIMM in the LaserJet for storing the barcodes and signature
fonts and that appears to be a dead end, too.
Can anyone suggest a solution? I know there are some great minds lurking
on this list!
Thanks.
