FROM THE COGNOS WEB SITE ABOUT POWERHOUSE 8.1:

So, if we are running 7.10.G we are going to have to recompile everything
at y2k to pick up the new default century? Yuck. What is the point of
having a so-called data driven dictionary if you can't change the data
without recompiling? Recompiling can definitely be a non-trivial
task....Well, I guess recompiling is unavoidable at y2k. You either
recompile to pick up the new default century in the dictionary or you
recompile to get to version 8.1?
This also means a recompile for y2k testing.

Please tell me I have misunderstood.
