PH on Linux

IMHO, if OS security was REALY an issue then nobody would use ANY form
of UNIX. OVMS and other full featured Oss would eat UNIX any day for
system security. Linux is a 'base' product meaning that after market
developers will add features like security to it. The basic OS is sound
and flexible and gaining many supporters. We use it for our internet
firewall.

In short, OS security is not a reason for Cognos NOT to port PH to
Linux. It will be based on how many customers, current or potential ASK
for it. Given the new web version of PH coming sometime this century, I
would think that Cognos should make one of the best application tools
around work on one of the most popular web server platforms. (rant,
rave, etc.)
