If you don't need to review the code, using the "nolist" option should cut
the time down as well, and all you'll get is the warnings and errors.

Just as a note to this, sending the output to a file rather than
the screen cuts the processing time enormously.

Our dictionary takes approx 40mins to compile if output is sent to the
screen, but takes only 45-50 seconds if output is sent to a file.

	eg    pdl auto=dict.pdl > pdl.out

Also if you get any errors then it is much easier to edit a file and check
than hope that the errors are still in your scroll buffer.
