I've never looked at the Vax version too closely but it was always my   
understanding that PhD or whatever the dictionary maintenance tool on the   
Vax is called was more or less like the Architect product available (at   
extra cost) on other platforms. Please correct me if this is not so.

Architect is a nice enough product but like a lot of stuff from the   
C***** vendor, it costs too much. I could roll my own equivalent or live   
with a syntax based source file and an editor. Same story with Power2000.   
Too much money for a source code scanning tool, even if it comes with a   
bunch of predefined Powerhouse syntax constructs.
