G'day good people

For some reason whenever someone from Cognos posts to this list I get
two, sometimes three copies.  Does anyone know why?

Perhaps Cognos should split its BI and ADT parts into two separate
business entities.  It is trying to position itself as the vendor of
choice for BI tool solutions and strongly identifying the name COGNOS
with BI.  This maybe why it has been so quite on the ADT front.  By
spinning off the ADT tools into a wholly owned subsidiary it could
develop brand identification for both sides of its business without
conflict.  Each part could then succeed or fail on its own merits
without bringing the whole company down.  I heard a rumour that Cognos
actually hid better-than-expected sales on the ADT side so as not to
confuse the market (clients).
