One of my oldest enhancement requests, even predating the PEP program (if   
anybody still remembers that), is to be able to push "text" where text   
can contain anything. Should be useable with push, with dfkeys, with pre-   
and postcommand, yadda, yadda, yadda.

And I'm always happy to point out instances of additional votes for this   
enhancement (real or implied).
