You're not far behind, it's only just shipped.
Use 7.10.G1, not 7.10g - various bugs fixed (multiline fields work etc).
When you convert your dictionaries, it sets the VMS protection to
(rwed,rwed,re,).
If you use DALOCK, be aware that the ph_lck structure has changed.
I've only gone from 7.10F3, so there may be other problems.

The good news: it makes y2k as easy as you could reasonably hope for.
