VAX PowerHouse 6.10e to 7.10g

Greetings fellow Powerhousers:

I've recently accepted a project lead position with a client in Rochester,
NY and am faced with 
(I know, it's late!) the prospect of converting / upgrading the 6.10e (1992
vintage I believe) to Y2K compliant 7.10g. 

Has anyone done the noted conversion? If so, I'd be extremely interested and
grateful for any and all information with respect to direction, gotcha's and
'be aware of' statements.
