Hi Robert. I'm probably biased. Forget it, I am biased. But I think the
conference is well worth while. And I say that regardless of the BI or
ADT slant. The BI stuff is worth it even for the PowerHouse old-timers.
And although there may be lots more BI customers than ADT, we still have
lots to offer. There will be two streams dedicated to 4GL products. The
focus will be Year 2000 and migration to Axiant, but there's lots of
other things as well. Also, we'll be demoing PowerHouse Web publicly for
the first time. There will be a session dedicated to it as well.
PowerHouse may be old but it still has plenty of legs as PowerHouse Web
shows. Here's a 4GL that made the transition from terminal to
client/server (in 2 forms - PowerHouse Client and Axiant), and now does
the Web.
So the potential to learn about what's here and what's coming is
invaluable. For PowerHouse consultants, I would expect a gathering of
potential customers would be well worth while. But I'm not a consultant
and I don't know how these things work.
Just my two-cents worth.
