Problem using QTP to delete repeating records

We are using PowerHouse 710E1 on an Alpha 4000 with VMS 6.2 and we have
two problems.
The first is that we can't compile all the QTP (about 400) in the same
job, we get the message 'Out of Dynamic memory'.
The second is that when we went from RMS to relational (RDB) many QTP
compiles fails because of errror 'Too many files'.

Does anyone know what causes this problem, and how we can get around it?
