Tom,

I encountered this problem once using PH 7.29C on a HP-3000. I needed
a quick fix, so I put a SORTED ON <primary key> in there and did the
DELETE AT <primary key>. I never got back to it to figure out the cause of
the problem, but it worked.

We are using PowerHouse 710E on an Alpha with VMS 6.2 and are
encountering a problem using QTP to delete records from an RMS file
with a repeating primary key. Periodically we get a record has changed
error message.
Sometimes we are deleting all of the detail records and sometimes just
part of them (based on other selection criteria). We try to delete the
detail records by accessing the primary key, sometimes with a select to
limit the deleted records. Running the QTP multiple times will eventually
delete all of the records, but we would like to change the QTP to do all
of the deletes in one pass.

Does anyone know what causes this problem, and more to the point
how we can get around it?

Thanks,
Tom Shelton
