DATA ACCESS ERROR

G'day Randy, how's it going? 
 
We have experienced DATA ACCESS ERRORs (and much worse) when a record 
containing a NULL value in an index column is referenced. E.g. a screen
where 
SSN is the key and the table is referenced via an index where SSN is the
first 
or only part.  If the SSN happened to be a NULL and the PHD allowed NULL 
values, a DATA ACCESS ERROR occurs.  Same when processing a QTP and a NULL
is 
part of the primary index at update. 
 
In short, I believe the root of your problem will be bad or unplanned for
data 
in an index column.
