*Don't* follow the recommendation in the manuals to use ENCRYPT(CHARACTERS())
to encrypt numeric/date data. Cognos provide _no_ way to get the data back
again: there's no reverse of the characters function.
*Don't* plan on compatibility with 3GL code: Cognos don't publish their
algorithm (whether because it's fairly weak or what, I don't know).
