Systems Analyst Position

Wharton County Junior College has a permanent opening for a Systems   
Analyst for an HP-3000 shop using Image, PowerHouse and COBOL.  WCJC

Position: Systems Analyst

Deadline: Search begins immediately and continues until a suitable   
candidate is
  found. Prefer to fill the position by July 15, 1998.

General Description

Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate   
processing or improve existing computer information systems and to   
develop new computer information systems;  assists the Director of   
Computer Services in coordinating physical changes to computer databases;   
codes, tests, and implements procedures to ensure data accuracy and   
integrity;  supervises and directs the activities of the programming   
staff.  
    
Requirements

1.  Minimum of  a bachelor s degree  in Computer  Information Systems or   
equivalent work experience.
         

2.  Two years previous experience working with college information   
systems preferred.

3.  Minimum of two years experience with the HP/3000 computer equipment,   
the IMAGE/QUERY database management system and the PowerHouse development   
language is preferred.

4.  Minimum of two years experience with the COBOL programming language   
is required.
