We have done several Y2000 projects for our clients using version 7 of
Powerhouse on various platforms.

Our broad approach is not to use the default century from the Powerhouse
Dictionary. Instead we have a common use file placed in all input
procedures for date fields. This use file will default the century based
on a set of rules - only if the century is not entered by the user. Our
use file only references fieldtext and only changes fieldtext, thus it
can be called from any date input procedure without modification. Being
in the input procedure it works in find mode or entry mode.

All date fields are also expanded to show the century - I believe this
is the only way to limit user error and confusion as we approach the
year 2000.
