We have specialized with PowerHouse too.  And like you I have been relying
on it since 1984.

The problem is that Cognos does such a good job of staying focused on their
business plan.  At one time I spent some time working for Cognos.  They will
pass up lucrative consulting work because it does not fit the focus of the
company at that time.  They will also put their marketing efforts where they
feel they will be able to make the most money for their shareholders (BI
Market).  This is how a business is to be run.  But for those of us who
appreciate their past products strengths, this can be frustrating.

I hope that PH has come full circle in their marketing plan.  I have yet to
evaluate a tool that can give the same productivity in creating Business
Applications.

 PowerHouse has been my mealticket since 1986 so I pray you're right.

 As ever, however, the problem has been to sell it.
