Floating points in portable subfiles

Hello,

Running PH 7.10E6 under OVMS 6.2, we are using QTP to extract records from our
database tables to corresponding portable subfiles for use on PCs. The subfile
record length often exceeds 255, so QUIZ is out as an option (no, I don't want
to cut-and-paste 70MB worth of 255-byte record length subfiles). The subfiles
created seems to have some problems regarding the conversion of floating point
fields.

Database fields of FLOAT type get converted in the PS as text in scientific
notation, and G_FLOAT fields get truncated to the whole number (i.e. decimal
portion is deleted). Is there an *easy* way around this? We are currently
extracting dozens of floating point fields from about 40 different tables.

TIA,
