No, I know. I didn't make myself clear.
What I think is unsupported is relying on several access statements, the first
one without a request, to generate redundant code in the find procedure for
values of path other than 1: the manual says only one path allowed. It appears
that specifying the "passed values" access, followed by the normal "request"
access, generates the find I want, although it's probably not supported code.

I've not been on the advanced courses myself, although colleagues have, despite
my opposition. I think it's more important to learn 'the Powerhouse way': one
of my colleagues ALWAYS generated & included every procedure in case he wanted
to modify it ever after the advanced course. I'm sure he wasn't taught to do
that, but I think the advanced course knowledge is more danger than use,
especially to a retraining 3gl programmer. I've had no trouble picking up
procedural code for myself from the nice manual. In my view, the most important
lesson about modifying the default procedures is "DON'T" - there are
exceptions, but not many.
