Forcing <lf> <cr> to the end of a record

I am working with a quiz file that sends it's output to a file. I need to
make sure that at the end of every record I have a line feed followed by a
carriage return. I thought that the best way to do this was to use the
ascii values for these special characters but I am not sure how to set it
up. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff Keepers
