OpenVMS Powerhouse 710G (Y2K support)

We've installed & started testing 710G under Alpha VMS 7.1, and frankly, it's
a dog.

There doesn't appear to be any documentation on known problems or bugs fixed,
so I don't know whether anyone else is aware of the problems. I've got calls in
to UK Telesupport.

Problem 1. Data entry in multiline fields crashes Quick with ACCVIO. This
applies to entry, select, and change mode.

Example:
screen bigchar menu

temp bigchar char*10

field bigchar for 2,5
go

Problem 2. A field (from file A) char*8 with "lookup on b, on c, on d, on e, on
f, noton a" gets treated as a date by Quick.

The year 2000 stuff, by contrast, is well thought out & working properly.
However the above problems are severe enough that we cannot go live with the
new version until we have some sort of patch/workaround.

Our Year 2000 project, virtually complete apart from Powerhouse, must now slide
again, and I can't even estimate a completion date: it looks likely we'll be
into 1999, the only question is how far.
