Some clarifications:
- The no recompile feature applies once you've actually moved to the new
version. So once you've recompiled under 8.13.C, you won't have to recompile
again simply to change the DEFAULT CENTURY or INPUT CENTURY.
- As for not being able to enter 8 digits in QUIZ and QTP with a format of
YYMMDD, the ALLOW CENTURY option is for QUICK only. The idea of the
enhancement was to avoid the problem of expanding fields where there was no
space. In QUIZ and QTP PARMs, there is no space problem. To allow a century,
simply make the format YYYYMMDD. If you want to force the user to enter the
century, use the FORCE CENTURY option.
- With NULLSEPARATOR, if specifying FORMAT YYYYMMDD NULLSEPARATOR requires
10 positions, contact Customer Support. That's a bug.
