<DIV>Seeking some knowledge with respect to the capabilities and complexities of tcpip communications: Alpha OpenVMS Powerhouse 7.10G Quick calling a 'C' program which opens a socket connection port #, via tcpip and send/receives data from an external system. What a mouthful that was!</DIV>

<DIV>Basically we have an application which works per the above and I'm just trying to see what the capabilities of replicating something like it but on a much larger scale - perhaps thousands of transactions a day versus the number of about the present (say) 30 a week....Contention and any queuing logic we have to develop are my main concerns.</DIV>
