<P class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Garamond color=blue size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: Garamond">For some reason I thought that if you did the build/noshare and thus create the .phexe you just need to point the logical qkdriver to that image, however, if you do the build/share you create the .exe and the problem would be that when you fire up quick it is using the .exe in memory which is why you would need to do the install/replace. I’ve never tried what Erik had suggested, but, it may allow you to test without affecting all users accessing that image, which would happen if you did the install/replace. Hope some other vms types provide you more help.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

Whopee! Haven't done that in a dog's age. C is 10 years ago....<BR><BR>However, (HOWEVER), when I attempt to build a /SHARE-able copy of the <BR>subroutine (for performance - no spawn) using buildexternal and its myriad <BR>of combinations, permutations and etrc. parameters per the Qdesign manual, <BR>it patently doesn't work. <BR><BR>The PHEXE works like the proverbial charm, but the .EXE does not. Quick just skips over the "do external" statement (put debug into the C routine - and it's not called)...I have <BR>tried 25 different ways from Sunday but the resulting .EXE just seems to <BR>be ignored by the Quick program and merrily (demonstrably) does the square <BR>root of zero in the "do external" construct.<BR><BR>Anybody have
